(Green Bay, Wis.) – Handmade with passion and hand selected with experience, BelGioioso Master Cheesemakers present their newest cheese, Artigiano® which means “Artisan” in Italian.
“In the endless pursuit of perfection, Gianni Toffolon, our first Master Cheesemaker is always crafting new combinations of flavors and textures in an attempt to create the next great cheese,” states Gaetano Auricchio, Executive Vice President of BelGioioso Cheese.
Artigiano® is crafted using home grown cultures that have been developed over decades to achieve a flavor palette all its own. “This cheese is pleasantly nutty and sweet with a delicate crystalline, yet creamy texture,” says Gianni Toffolon, BelGioioso Master Cheesemaker. “Artigiano® is produced in small batches and cured using proprietary, artisanal methods.”
Artigiano® cheeses are available in three varieties, though we only carry the most popular of the 3:
- Aged Balsamic and Cipolline Onions – rubbed with aged balsamic vinegar from Modena, Italy and cipolline onions from Calabria, Italy
