Raw Sheep Milk Cheddar is made the same way as traditional cheddar, except Nordic Creamery uses only the freshest sheep's milk available. The milk is heated just so slightly, as to form curd and that is it for heat. The resulting cheese is semi-hard, with a distinctive white internal color, creaminess, nutty flavor, and distinctive tanginess. Raw Sheep Milk Cheddar works great any place you would traditionally use regular cheddar, including on cheese plates and sandwiches.
Nordic Creamery cheese is produced using only the highest quality milk from small family farms. The creamery is located near Westby, WI. within the lush green hills and valleys known as the Driftless Region.
This cheese pairs well with Domestic Pale Ales.
We hand cut all of our cheeses to order, so our clients can feel rest assured they are only getting the freshest possible products. Each piece of cheese is hand wrapped in cheese paper and then white paper and then labeled accordingly.
