Nordic Creamery is making some of Wisconsin's finest gourmet, artisan cheese and butter. They don't mass produce their cheese; they make small handcrafted batches of cheese in Southwestern Wisconsin's "Driftless" Coulee Region. All of their cheese and butter is "Certified Naturally Grown.” That means they do not give their cows or goats any hormones such as rBGH and do not add artificial ingredients. All stock is grass feed in open pastures during the summer and feed a mostly grass hay diet during the winter as well.
That being said, Nordic Creamery Sheep Milk Feta is crumbly in texture with a tart yet salt finish.
This is a very fresh tasting feta that goes great on salads, pizza, burgers, Chili is our favorite and you would just eat it all by itself as well - very addicting.
Normally we hand cut and hand wrap all of our cheeses, but this cheese is not very cooperative, so we have the producer cut and seal this is manageable packages.
